Gereja Batak Karo Protestan in Medan is a grand cultural church that beautifully showcases the distinct forms of the Karonese culture. The building not only provides a visually stunning experience but also offers a deeply spiritual experience for all the Church members, because we believe every worship moment should have its unique and spaces to be connected with God and each other.
The bell tower presents itself as a distinctive landmark with Karonese male’s head cover called “bulang-bulang” sits at its top. The church high volume space for worshipping is then covered with a unique form of roof resembling the Karonese female’s head cover known as “tudung”
