Griya Asoka is a private estate of around 17 hectare situated at slopping and hilly topography of a mountainous area in the village of Poh Santen, Jembrana Regency, western Bali. The largest portion of the site is designated for durian plantation whereas a private zone amidst durian plantation and other tropical crops is comprised of private villa and a number of modest huts for Buddhist monks. A public area will cater for durian lovers who want to taste the harvested durian right on the spot at the Visitors’ Center. Spiritual visitors who want to practice meditation and participate in Buddhist retreats can use the meditation hall and lodging at the Visitor’s Center and a meditation huts. The surrounding views of natural beauty with expansive horizon of Indian Ocean to the south, lush tropical forests to the east and west of the site provide a perfect setting for a new level of tranquility and understated luxury.
